2017 was a standout year for James. The Englishman enjoyed his first season as an official Ferrari driver in the world of endurance racing, clinching the WEC GT World Championship, an achievement which the prestigious magazine Autosport recognised by crowning him as its Number One GTE driver of 2017. After starting his career in karting, the Englishman progressed to Formula Renault and then British Formula 3 where he finished 2nd in 2010. His association with ARM really started when he went on to GP2 the following year for two seasons with the ART team in 2011 and 2012. In 2014, he was the third driver for the Force India Formula 1 team, but it’s in closed wheeled cars that the 28 year old has really made his mark. As the reigning champion, James continues racing the 488 GTE car run by the famous AF Corse team in what is now billed as the 2018/19 WEC Superseason.
